Ruffles and Pink!

Have you heard the news? Texture is in . . . specifically ruffles! Frills galore and they are here to stay. From dresses to shirts to pants and even shoes, this summer statement is the perfect accent to any outfit. Ruffles can easily replace jewelry or any other type of accessory because your statement piece is already built in! The type of ruffle can vary from super intense to light and barely there, but either way when the wind picks up people are sure to notice.

I am wearing a pink ruffle blouse from Zara that has a round neck and short ruffled sleeves. I love the way it moves with me and where it cuts off at the bottom. For pants, I am wearing what I now call my go to Hawaiian look. These awesome tie up floral trousers are also from Zara and have slits in the front of the legs that start right above the knee, it is perfect for those hot days when you need a little bit more air! They are meant to emulate the look of a sarong, and this style accomplishes just that.

This outfit definitely belongs at a beach somewhere, I love the floral pattern on the pants and how it matches the pink of the blouse! Along with the ruffles from the top, these two pieces are two very different materials which add another layer of texture, the blouse being cotton and trousers polyester. This outfit will not be an everyday look but is something fun to just break out once in awhile when you want to make a statement!
